Can today’s leaders aspire to find balance, or should they just manage their imbalance?

In the book Your Turn – Powerful Thoughts from today’s women to the next* that brings together 150 inspiring Canadian women leaders, I signed a text to provide a few words of wisdom to the next generation of women around balance.  Despite my zodiac sign being Libra portrayed by a balance, I spent the better part of my professional career away from that equilibrium, being a workaholic, and proudly claiming I was managing my imbalance very well.  Over the last few years, I came to the realization that a heathy mind & healthy body are my ingredients for a happy life and success at work.  Training for my next triathlon race or spending quality time with my family gives me that extra edge to deliver great results at work.   I encourage everyone to find their own secret ingredients that will give them that extra edge, as there’s no one-size-fits-all with balance.
